I was a junior in highschool when the shootings at Columbine took place in 1999. Those events, and similar tragedies that followed it, forced me to wonder if there was anything I could do with my life that would make some kind of difference to people.
I started to recognize the far-reaching cultural influence of the media. I began to realize that film, something I had only dabbled in as a hobby, could be a powerful instrument for social change. And freaking awesome besides.
My goal is to tell stories that will uplift, entertain, and inspire people. I see Marbles with Thoreau as an early stepping stone toward that goal.
Thoreau said, "Live the life you have imagined." It is my prayer that the making of Marbles be a real-life example of the potential for this statement to be true in peoples' lives. And I am so grateful to all of the talented artists listed below, who made it possible.

After reading The Accidental CEO, by Thomas Voccola, I wrote down my Passion and Purpose statements: With stubborn love and unyielding faith, I inspire myself and others to be real. I serve God and befriend the world, using word, music and video as instruments of relationship."
I bear great admiration for storytellers of every medium. I believe that stories can change the world. I am a singer/songwriter, and a fan of Director Melody George. It's a great honor for me to participate in bringing her vision to reality.
This is my first adventure in film, and I consider myself very blessed to watch this amazing team at work. They are craftsmen and storytellers, creators and visionaries, weaving magic with light and sound and character. I am honored to walk among them. I will bring them water and prayer. I am a civilian.
